Lowell has named Matthew Welsh who was previously the boys head coach at South Newton as their new head coach. He takes over a program that won an NCC title last season, but was 9-59, including 0-44 over the past two years with South Newton. He had some success as an assistant at Crown Point.
How do you think this hire impacts the conference and the Lady Devils?

Katie Bobos is one of the region's best and that sectional is still up for grabs with EC, West Side, LC- NEW COACH, Munster, and Highland/Morton - have not really been factors.

I'll see what Lowell has in a couple of weeks..not sure what he did to deserve this job at Lowell..sectional 1 really is up for grabs..none of these other teams are that great at all..I just watched LC play Griffith and the game was dreadful..they struggled to beat a Griffith team that lost alot of talent from last year's team..Griffith dominated EC by about 15 points..then saw EC beat Munster in a really ugly game..I'll have a better report on Lowell when I see them but appears they might be the favorite in the NCC this season based on the talent they have coming back

Still not sure what to expect from Lowell because they were without Katie Bobos in their game the other night against Portage..but I could see early on that Lowell emphasizes pounding the ball into the post and trying to establish an inside game..I'm sure with Bobos in the lineup she will be getting plenty of touches..When the league picks up again in July, I will make it out to another Lowell game to see how they look WITH Bobos
