I am so proud of our Chesterton boys. The Gary Post Tribune says that they are the best and I agree. I cried (it was happy) when they won last night. These boys have worked so hard and have given their all. I was glad to see that happen. I hope they keep winning and do as good as everyone thinks they will do.

They are good, but so are most of the DAC teams.

I can't wait until we meet them. I think we will win, but it will be a good game.

It was a good win to start the season for them..and they will probably have no problems this week against Munster

Yeah, I would think they beat Munster, also Portage, Valpo, LaPorte and Michigan City. Merrillville should be close but the Pirates should win, maybe a slight edge over Crown Point but could go either way, the Lake Central should beat them pretty good.

I watched the highlight of the St. Joe - Chesterton game on the New Concept Video Sports site. I must say I was totally impressed. Coach Snyder and Peterson has their pistol option clicking on all cylinders and coach Dan McCoy's defense looked stellar. Listening to the RRSN kickoff show a couple weeks ago Snyder stated that Chesterton has something like 29 seniors on the roster and they are all starters. Players that reall stood out were QB Chris Kastafaros, RB Joe Troop, DB A.J. Snyder and Linebackers Dana Konchar, Mike Thanos, Kevin Fekete and Julian Raudry. Looks like they got a really impressive freshmen kicker replacing Kyle Schmidt as well. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this Chesterton class will produce the most college players of any school in the region. As someone who has closely followed the youth football scene the last seven years I can say that the Trojans have some great talent coming up through the lower levels as well their little guys play like a bunch of midget Ivy Leaguers.. With Chesterton remaining in 5A in 2013 it's safe to say that the Chesterton Trojan football program has a very bright future.
