Tonight's 30-12 win over Wheeler was the first regular season loss for the Bearcats since August 24th, 2007 when they fell to KV 25-0. So what does this indicate? Is the end of an era for Wheeler, a start of a great season for Boone Grove, or new new Boone Grove Era?

Wheeler must be really bad if they lost that badly to Boone..Wheeler will probably be a bottom dweller in the GSSC this year..from what I hear they are starting alot of underclassmen and players with little or no experience
The win is great for Boone, but I'm not predicting a winning season just yet..something weird is going on..Dan Klimczak bolts for the AD job at South Central, then magically becomes head coach..he must have known the well was dry at Wheeler for him to all of a sudden leave for a 1A school

I think so. Boone Grove has been working hard. Wheeler got started slow when they started football and now Boone Grove is the new Wheeler.

JT, Boone Grove is a good team. They have experience now and one of the best RB's in the area. Poynter played well last year too. I don't think that we should look at this as a Wheeler loss nearly as much as we should look at it for what it is, a Boone Grove win. Poynter ran for 222 yards and 4 TDs. That to me does not indicate that Wheeler is that bad as much as Boone starting to come into their own.
Looking at the upcoming scheule for them, I see wins against Noll, Roosevelt, Wallace, and maybe Marshall and South Newton. I doubt they will beat EC, Judson or Bowman, but this could turn out to be a great season for the Wolves.

So was it a Boone Grove win or a Wheeler loss? I know it was TECHNICALLY both, but in other words, did Boone win because they were good, or because Wheeler was not so good? That is the question.

I talked to Dean Hill, quarterback of Boone..and he thought it was a combination of Boone having alot of starters back with experience and Wheeler having lost so much from last year..I guess the new QB for Wheeler really struggled and they don't have as many skill players as they have had in the past

And Cody Poynter is a great RB. That doesn't hurt.
