Apparently, The school board in Lake Station have revered an earlier decision and will allow Mike Hepp to return as the Edison Eagles head football coach last season.
While it was a great decision by the school board to bring Coach Hepp, a man that has clearly meant alot to the program, players and community, it should have never come to this. There should never have been a second thought about retaining him in the first place. As Hepp himself mentioned, Jim East had a great run after retiring as a teacher, why not him?
While school boards serve a great purpose, some things should be left alone. It really seems like they made a misguided decision in the first place.
What does everyone think about this situation?

It is a bad thing for the kids when this happens.

You are right, it is hard on the athletes when something like this happens. They think they know who their coach is and then, all of a sudden it's not and then it is again. Hepp has meant the world to those kids. I hope he is there as long as he wants to be.
