People hatin on my White Sox better recognize that we are going to win the World Series. Any person who says different is wrong.

Julio,
The World Series? It's a LONG way until October, and the Sox still have trouble. Humber and Floyd are suspect and there are some teams you may have heard of: the Rangers, Angels, Rays, and Yankees that might have something to say about that. Also, done count out Cleveland and Detriot. Too much competition in the AL to say that a team a 1/2 game up in the Central is going to win the series.

Also, see: Danks, John, Ramirez, Alexei and Base, Third. All are fairly significant question marks that need to be answered or addressed before this team has a serious shot of contending.
With that being said, this team has a great chance of making the playoffs, at least the new first round.

I think that the Sox do have a legit shot at the playoffs, especially with the new expanded playoff format. To think that they are better than many of the other AL teams that I mentioned and could make it past them, well, no, I seriously doubt it. Even if they did. If all of the stars aligned and the Sox were able to make it to the Series, they couldn't beat the Dodgers, Nationals, Braves, Giants, Cardinals or whoever comes out of the NL. I think that this weekend's series in LA will be a real test for how good the Sox really are.
Now, that said I am sure they will be buyers and could potentially address some of their weak spots. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them add some depth to the bullpen even if it means moving Humber out of the rotation into middle relief and trading for a new starter. As much as I would hate to see it as a Cubs fan, what about a trade for Ryan Dempster. I have seen rumors saying the the Dodgers would like him, but Dempster for prospects could help both teams (The Cubs and Sox) with some guys to build for the Cubs future and Dempster who could be a 20 game winner if he could only get run support. I think Kenny Williams tried to address 3B with the Orlando Hudson signing, but I doubt he is really the answer.

World Series? Doubtful, but possible I guess. Anyone who makes the playoffs in theory has a shot, but there are way too many holes at this point. It will be interesting to see what Kenny Williams does as the trade deadline approaches if anything.
