Some girls coaches have gone on record that club volleyball takes participants from girls basketball. What do you think?

Club Volleyball may hurt participation, but I don't think it explains why the region is so far behind other pockets of the state in girls basketball..I read the article that one of the Times writers made a few weeks ago..he tried saying that club volleyball was the main reason for the decline in girls basketball..if that is the case, then why is Fort Wayne and Indy so good? It's not like they don't play volleyball in other areas of the state..I think it has more to do with a lack in development of players in this area at a young age..we have very few high caliber players in the region, whereas FW and Indy have a plethora of talent..and lets not forget something else..it's not like the region is bringing home state titles in volleyball..I think club volleyball probably has something to do with why the Muncie area is not very strong in girls basketball..but the region? doubt it..

Time can be the deciding factor. I do not know how anyone can do three sports at a big school in 2014. Coaches say they understand but I have my doubts.
