Saw a lot of scrimmages this Summer.
Top Teams
1. Munster Led by D1 Recruit Jaycee Helmer and 26 goal scorer Addy Adinello they are on the perch until knocked off. Crown Point is in there sectional now and Munster beat them 1-0 in a scrimmage, but CP did not have there top goalie Maddie Johnson or top defender Libby Rockovits in the scrimmage.
1a. Crown Point - loaded with Junior Talent led by Emmie Mcconell, Olivia Small. Senior Emily Bogordos, and Emily Wielgus in the Midfield on back with three good goalies- Maddie Johnson, Maddie Dros, and Grace Lynch and a solid defense with Libby Rockovits, Leah Surufka, Zoe Olivares, Aliciia Pinchok, and Sela Ozemir. Key will be on offense, will they be able to score enough to beat Munster? But have a great leader in Seniors Haneen Abdullah, Kira Schuelka, and speedy trackster Peytn Grady and Juniors Abby Kelliher Maddie Donofrio to go along with Soph Bridget Rayonvec to pack the scoring punch.
3. Lake Central - Adding some ECNL players like Adrianna Naumoski will really help in the offense but the loss of Caroline Puch to injury recently will hurt. Anika Berg is the most athletic all over the field performer in the area like Libby Rockovits of CP, BB Player Stephanie Dijak is back also in the midfield, they lost to Munster 2-0 in the scrimmage but will get better led by Naumoski who has played club up until this year and not HS.
4. Chesterton 4a Valpo Both of these teams are right there with LC but do not have the depth of CP or Goal scoring Talent of Munster's Adinello. Valpo had 32 kids out earlier this summer but have Jance Courtnay, Kelly Landry, and Oivia Shaw who are next level offensive talents and some nice role players in Carly Milroy, Sammie Constantine, and Claire Brogan. Chesterton has a good defender in Olivia Vesling and some some strong offensive players too. These two will battle it out in the sectional.
Other Top Players
Portage - Yessie Tinoco, Marquette Transfer Nikki Melton
